Another Magic Bands thread....(shipping issue)

Just checking in to see if anyone else is having issues with their magic bands being stuck in 'Your MagicBand order is being personalized. Check back soon for shipping details.' let me just give you my timeline....

Checking in 3 May
Bands have been on the personalizing and shipping soon mode since 4/2.
I called on Wednesday morning (4/8) and was put on hold and was told there was a 'delay' due to the holiday. Easter maybe? and to check back within 7-10 days. After DH and I talked about it that excuse didn't really jive since the mail did run on Good Friday so I decided to call again the next morning.

Thursday(4/9) I was first told that I needed to just change the shipping option to have these shipped to my resort. (WHAT?!) I advised the CM that again they are in the personalizing/shipping soon stage therefore I can't change anything 'on there' to anything. Then he transfered me to tech support, thank goodness he didn't look anything up because I would hate for him to have touched our reservation! lol I then spoke to another agent with tech support who filled out an expedite ticket and she said they should be going out yesterday or today. They still haven't shipped.


Anyone else having this issue? I am seeing quite a few people who have already received theirs that are arriving after us or they have received their shipping confirmation. I have neither.

The names on the bands all match the names on the reservation also. I haven't called today because I figured it is just a big waste of time....

Just to add, last year our trip was during the same exact week. The bands were shipped on 4/5(Saturday) and we received them on 4/9 (Wednesday). I have a feeling we are stuck in a black hole..... We are actually driving and leaving on 5/1 and we had planned to customize the bands ourselves so I was hoping to get them at the end of this week at the latest so we can start painting them.
 
Mine says "could ship any minute" or something close to that. Said I had until today to personalize. Hoping the status will change by Monday.
 
We check in on May 2 and received our magic bands early last week. Might want to call back
 

I received my bands (I'm near Chicago) exactly 3 weeks before my arrival date.

3 weeks and 2 days before my arrival date I got a Disney email saying my MagicBands have shipped. It included the USPS tracking number. For two days I kept checking the USPS link, and it kept saying "The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on March 24, 2015 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if/when available."

Despite seeing this exact message on the morning of March 28th, the bands arrived with my regular mail that same day.

We check in May 3 and our Bands arrived Monday (4/6). I would call again.
 
Thanks all! Glad I'm not crazy lol I'm definitely calling again tomorrow morning if still no confirmation email which doesn't seem likely if it hasn't happened by now.
 
Sure haven't :( I called on Sunday, confirmed there was a expedite ticket and because of this the order for our bands goes directly to fulfillment I won't receive a confirmation email nor will they show they have been shipped via MDE. I called again today after the mail ran and still no bands, was told that bands aren't shipped out until about a week before arrival which I know is not correct, maybe in some cases however i know that isn't the 'norm'. I said that's funny bc previous trips and currently by the research I have done on online once the customization period ends the band order is personalized and shipping confirmations should be received within about 3-5 days and bands are received is most cases 5-7 ish business days once the pkg starts moving. She did see the expedite order and said it went in on Sunday (not Thursday or even Friday when I called the second time)so IF fulfillment received it and filled/shipped the bands I'm going to have to give them a few more days to get to me. I am so frustrated because every single time I call the answer is .....just wait a few more days, weeks, now it's call us next week if you haven't received them. I don't understand why they can't put me on hold and either contact the fulfillment center or have a supervisor do that. I was told that because the expedite order is there, they can't see anything that is happening with the bands , if they have been shipped, what the status is etc. so basically no one knows anything and call back in a week. :mad: I hate having to get nasty with these people, I work in a call center type environment in the travel industry so day in day out we have people making a big deal for nothing and the people when I have called in 4 times (6 total including the room request I had to put in twice) have been incredibly helpful and nice. Will it ruin our vacation if we never get the bands.....no, very thankful we get to go, but they really seem to be struggling with solving a simple issue. No one is willing to reach out and just get it done. The answer is wait....even though this should have been solved by the first phone call I made. We are going to dig out our old bands and I'm going to attempt to strip the nail polish etc that we painted them with. Worst case scenario, we will attempt to redecorate those or we will just have grey ones. I'm sure we will have a great time but this is not a good way to be counting down the trip. I hope this isn't a precursor of things to come.:guilty:
