I just got up to mix myself another Cuba Libre and realized it's almost midnight here.

Tomorrow's trash day so I figured I'd go ahead and take it out so I can sleep in tomorrow.


OMG! It has to be a 100 out still!!

Do you mean you're not a card carrying member of the trash brigade? Apparently, in our community it's quite an honor to be a member & should be taken very seriously. DH & I love driving by the other homes to see who won the prize for getting their trash to the curb first. Trash day is Thursday. People start putting their trash cans out on Tuesday night. After all, you'd hate to miss trash day & let down your fellow members of the trash brigade.

If I put my trash out too early I risk stray dogs or grackles tearing open the bags to look for food. We don't use trash cans at the curb here.

What do people in your neighborhood do for entertainment, if they can't make fun of people rushing to get their trash out a day or two before pick-up day?

It's funny that people caution others to avoid FL in the summer. In South Florida, our high is supposed to be 90 with scattered showers. Yes, it's humid & melting hot, but It's summer. Most places are hot in the summer. I'll take a humid, 90 degrees to have 70's in the winter. If it gets too hot, I'll just go jump in that big pool we call an ocean.

PS: Willy, you make Coweta sound like the Garden of Eden. Your posts seriously make we want to visit there.
