This thread is for anyone, so long as they're cool and occasionally talk about the weather
And we occasionally expand our vocabularies: "blunderbuss"

And we occasionally expand our vocabularies: "blunderbuss"Maybe in addition to food/booze pics and weather updates, we should have a word of the day.

Hahahaha thanks all!
I'll keep that in mind about food, booze and new words!

I think in my time here I've learned if I see @King Schultz or @jevs in a thread, it is usually worth a read and may have insightful info or a good laugh.....or both!
I actually learned blunderbuss from a cm in Gaston's tavern. He was giving me trivia info about the place as I was ordering and mentioned people were upset the gun wasn't there. I said "oh yeah the elephant gun!" Which is just what I've always called it and he told me the name.

Whoops, I think I've just realized I kinda barged into y'alls private chat room thread! I would see it pop up in new posts and chime in about the weather. I'm sorry @jevs @King Schultz @Micca @Octoberbeauty

I found another excuse for staying home during this awful heat. Have your child get sick and have to pull over on the way home from the pediatrician so he can throw up on the side of the road. At least this time he warned me far in advance for me to pull over. When we were on vacation a few weeks ago and he got carsick from us driving on the mountain roads he didn't warn us far enough in advance.
We finally made it to the beach Sunday. I took a couple pics, which was a pain. Every time I tried to take one someone decided to walk right in front of me.I'll try to get DS to help me post them, when I'm feeling better.
I've somehow gotten the worst ear infection of my life & I had chronic swimmers ear, when I was young. One side of my face & neck is swelled & my ear canal is swelled shut. The doctor had to put a wedge in it, so I could get the antibiotic drops in. I'm so irritable that I don't even like myself. It doesn't help that my meds were over $250 after our insurance paid their part. The stupid ear drops alone were $188.
PS: Willy, our Wingstop serves beer. I thought that was an important bit of info to pass along in case you want to check your Wingstop to see if they serve it now. Just looking out for you.![]()
Thank you Willy
Happy Wednesday - almost Friday again, woohoo..
I'm back from St. Louis! Had a wonderful trip. I can't believe school starts this week. I have never been more unprepared!!

Sorry to hear about the ear infection. . . ouch!!
I hope it starts getting better soon; they are beyond painful.
Oh, our Wingstop does too, but they just have Bud, Bud Light, Miller Light. .
I have a much more refined palette than that.
(((hugs))) hope you feel better soon my friend.![]()

Isn't it weird how simple illnesses can make you so miserable? Ear infectionsand strep throat!
...and then insult to injury the
prescriptions. I take some eye drops that are insanely expensive. They come in tiny bottles that contain less than some fraction of an ounce that run over $100. Fortunately insurance covers most of it, but of course the insurance is also
expensive. Hope you feel better soon! That's usually the upside to antibiotics, they normally act fast.
Get a heat pad and place it on your ear, it'll provide some relief until the painkillers and antibiotics kick in. Poor thing![]()

From what I've seen incomes are also higher there to accommodate the higher cost of living. There are only a few areas in the US with comparable incomes. I agree our healthcare system is horrible.Your healthcare is scary...but everything else is cheap compared to here, so I guess it evens out in the end.

A family could easily lose everything with a major illness.Your healthcare is scary...but everything else is cheap compared to here, so I guess it evens out in the end.
