another Las Vegas question

Hi all,
for all you Las Vegas goers out there...

what is the difference between showcase mall and fashionshow mall... what is there ... what are these places...

and if you had to just pick one to go visit... which one would it be and why ??

I've been to Vegas many, many times and couldn't picture the Showcase Mall, so I googled it and it is near the MGM Grand and includes the M & M's store. Not a real "mall", just some specialty shops. Now, we enjoy visiting the M&M's store, but it's not in what I consider a "mall".

The Fashion Show Mall is a true mall - big - recently renovated. Nieman Marcus, Nordstrom, many, many stores - restaurants, etc. The Fashion Show Mall is at the other end of the strip near Treasure Island, The Venetian and The Wynn. This is always a stop for us, but, of course, we love to shop.

The M&M store is really cool. They have a cute show that they show and my teenagers loved it. Also right next door they have a half price ticket outlet. Great way to see some shows at a reduced rate. They are across the street from New York, New York.

Don't forget the Coca-Cola store. Some neat things in there too. I believe it's right next door to the M&M store!

When I was there last month I bought a pound of dark chocolate M&M's.
Gotta love that place.

The Fashionshow Mall was really nice. Nice high end stores.

now this is just me but I don't go to Vegas for the malls...lol


There are great shops in the Casinos. Check out the forum shops at Ceasars, shops at Bellagio, etc...they all have great stores and much better to me than any mall.

Oh, we do all that too. Bellagio, Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace, Canal Shoppes at Venetian, Desert Passage at Aladdin. We do all of it. We go to Vegas to stay in a beautiful hotel, eat in nice restaurants, see a show, and shop. We aren't gamblers. My husband can stay in Vegas for days and not even put a quarter in a slot machine.

I don't drop many quarters either.

I actually put a few bets down on sports games for that day then me and dw go walking around everywhere.

I like the Fashion Show mall. During the times we had gone there, it wasn't that crowded and there are alot of stores to choose from. There is also the food court upstairs.
We go to the Showcase mall for the M&M store, starbucks, and the Coca Cola store when it was open.
