St. Thomas Day and more LAND!
We got up at 7:15 and got dressed for immigration. It was quick and painless and took less than 10 min total from when we got to the theatre and when we were in the elevator going to Topsiders for breakfast. They stamped our hands with a stamp that illuminated by a black light to prove wed gone through immigration but that was the extent of it. Once we were done eating we decided to go to Paradise Point and try a Bushwhacker. They checked our hand stamp on the way out and we were done.
We waited for the tram to the top and got some great pictures. I didnt care for the Bushwhacker but I did LOVE the Strawberry Daiquiri. We went back down the tram and did a little shopping and then set off to eat lunch before our excursion at 12:30.
Went to Topsiders and again not impressed with the lunch up here. We got our stuff together and went to Sessions to meet for our tour. We chose to do the Doubloon Sail and Snorkel and Im so glad we did! It was amazing!!!! We had a blast and wouldnt hesitate to recommend it! The Banana Bender they served on the way back was delicious! We got back to the dock at 4 pm and the all aboard was by 4:30.
When we got on the elevator we noticed a little blurb on the wall about the ship going to the West Coast. In our room we had a little flyer on our bed and then Captain Tom announced it but it wasnt any big deal which I thought was kind of strange but I didnt care because at this point NO WAY am I going to rebook another cruise.
5 year old still complaining about a little throat pain as were the other 2 kids and now hubby. 5 year old wanted to take a bath and dd wanted to take a shower so I started filling up the bathtub for 5 year old and dd got in the shower in our room only to jump around that the water was too hot and wouldnt cool down. I thought it was just the kids bathtub so after my mommy check I decided that the water was almost blistering hot in both bathrooms and made them wait it out. We called Maintenance and they made it sound like they were aware of the problem and working on it. About 10 min later they called our room and told us the problem was fixed. I drained the tub and stood there feeling the water constantly. It started off fairly cool but then once again got blistering hot. Another call to Maintenance and they said they would look into it again.
Meanwhile I took all the ice from the ice buckets and put it in the bathtubs. I took a quick bath as the salt from the excursion was stinging my legs and dd used the other bathtub and 5 year old wanted to wait until it was fixed. I got out and put a towel on and went to look off the side at the port from our balcony when all of a sudden our balcony door opened and there was a maintenance guy who had let himself in as we didnt hear him at the door knocking.
It really took me off guard and I was a little irritated that once he opened the door and could see us on the balcony that he just strolled right in. He ran the water for quite some time and finally it got cool again and the problem was fixed. He said it took so long because we were at the end of the water line but we hadnt had this problem before now so who knows why.
Dinner tonight was the World Cuisine and it was once again mediocre. Our dinners seemed to take forever to come out each night and the wait for our dessert was terrible. We didnt leave Animators until almost 7:45 that night.
Tonight there was a magician in Rockin Bar D and he was awesome! The kids were allowed to sit on the floor and watch and even a couple of them got to participate and he was incredible! That is something that Disney does so well is kid appealing shows! I have to say that at night we had a blast with the shows and our kids laughed themselves silly.
We were all still feeling a little under the weather although 5 year old finally said his throat was fine. I was just tired and the Tylenol kept the sore throat at bay for the rest. Still none of us had any other symptoms since I had the chills and fever a few nights ago.
We went to bed with calmer seas and less wind knowing that we didnt have to get up early and go anywhere tomorrow.
