Another Ladies Thread - I Hold In My Hand...

We keep each other updated...
gotta be careful with these women threads...;)

or you could be like me and be so small you can't even fit into an A cup and have to shop in the girls department for bras
I have one bra with wires and it makes me feel grown up! :teeth:
but it can't break..there is nothing there it's supporting

me and my sad no chest self :(

OMG! I am sorry, Jules, but your post made me laugh out loud...:p

WDWfanatic288, I'll trade you a couple of double Ds for your "sad no chest". It gets pretty old pretty quickly having to lug these jokers around. Trust me! You ain't missing a thing... ;) I envy women with smaller chests.

I can't do the sports bra thing either (it doesn't do the job on DD) but I've never had my wire come out....I buy my bras at Lane Bryant.

Three words, Beth:

Body by Victoria!

(try one, you won't be disappointed!)

I've had the roaming wire, but when I stopped washing my underlovelies in the machine, I stopped having roaming wire. I bought all new brassieres over a year ago, and I've eliminated that problem. Of course, when it's brassiere-washing time, they are hanging up all over the house and invariably I forget one or two in the sink for a few hours. So they come out *extra* clean!
The only time I wear a sports-brassiere is when I'm at the gym. Otherwise, I stay away from the dreaded uniboob. Other than those, all of my brassieres are underwire. For some, hardware is a good thing.;) ;)
-MrsAPalm

I find that I have to hand wash mine to keep the underwire from poking out. Usually I do wash them in the machine and hang them to dry, knowing they won't last long. If you wait for a sale, they tend to go on sale for pretty reasonable prices.

Sorry Jules, but I have no pity for small-busted women. I was in a D cup in the 7th grade, and that was not fun! Now that I'm pregnant, I'm a DDD. Some brands call it an F, but I think that DDD sounds much more dainty. ;) :teeth:

LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL....OMG this thread is hilarious!!!

Well, Beth, it just proves what I've always said.... bras are no good for you. ;) :teeth: Of course, all the years I said that I didn't realize that gravity was even worse.

I hate that as well... actually if I can feel it going to poke out.. I get a pair of needlenose pliers, and put it back in... and then I sew up the hole that it pokes out...

Sometimes that works!

But I know what you mean, and JULES, you have no sympathy either....

since this seems to be the apprporiate thread...i just have to tell you...

DH was doing laundry a few weekends ago (he cooks, he cleans, he does laundry, i think i'll keep him!)...anyway, he's very good about my "underlovelies" (thanks mrsapalm!) and not putting them in the dryer. well, i have one of those, um, wonder type (we call 'em my mush 'em sqoosh 'ems!) bras with the little air pillows in them that are removeable. he forgot to take the little pillows out when he put it in the washer. when he went back to the washer to switch the clothes, he couldn't for the life of him figure out what these little air balloons were that were floating through the washer!

i thought it was pretty funny!

i tend to buy a lot of mine at target on their clearance racks. i've found awesome deals...like $2.00 a bra! and they seem to last quite a while for me, even with washing them in the washing machine...they just don't go into the dryer...my sister is what i call a victoria's secret snob (no offense anyone!)...all of her "underlovlies" match at ALL times...and she refuses to buy them anywhere else besides vicki's secret...i have nothing against it, i just can't afford to pay the prices they ask for some of their stuff! but the few that i have gotten from there are very comfy!! i just wish i could afford more!! but at $40 a bra, that's just too much...i have to wait until their clearance sales!

I'm with Snoopy...Body by Victoria! I don't think I could ever buy another bra.
I never hand wash my underwire bras. I put them in a mesh lingerie bag and wash them in the regular wash. Then I just lay them out to dry.
Good luck!

I hate wired bras. The wires always come out and poke me. I'm afraid I'll puncture a lung with those things!

I have to have the wire.

jules, when i was your age i was a 32a. now that i am old, i'm a 34b. maybe when you get old, you will be a 34b too.;) :p :teeth:

I do what NurseKim does. They go in a mesh bag in the regular wash with the rest of the laundry. And then I hang them up to dry. I'd never get around to washing them if I had to hand wash them :o I've never lost a wire. I replace them about every couple of years when the elastic starts to give out.

I don't wear underwires anymore because the same thing happened to me. Except I was wearing a cable-knit sweater and it was sticking through I am guessing the entire day.... no one told me.... SIGH!

I've never worn an underwire, not when I was a DD cup, and not now that I'm a C (oh the wonders of surgery!!) I always found them soooo uncomfortable.

I'll have to give the Body by Victoria a try!!:D
