Just got back today.. I must say it really was great... A family could stay there ONLY and have plenty to do..The kids didn't want to go to the parks. (they are 3.5 and 6)
The pool was great, lots of games and activities. Nice music playing outside. EXTREMELY close to the parks.. Traffic was perfect and the crowds at the parks was low..Of course, it did start to get busy on Friday.
We did eat the buffet the first night, only because we didn't want to go out..It was about $16 each and the kids ate free.. It wasn't the best but not bad.. No complaints... They had salads and a made to order pasta station. They seem to serve Mahi Mahi every night or at least every night I looked. The kids buffet included hot dogs, hamburgers, mac and cheese, chicken fingers, fries, and corn on the cob.. They LOVED it..
I didn't see any construction and we stayed in building 2, room 233 a Spongebob room. They told me one of the slides were not open, but I guess we didn't go to that pool, or I didn't notice. The have several lifequards also.
The rooms were spacious enough, although it was a little cramped in the kids' bedroom because I requested two twins bed instead of bunk beds. Not a problem for them though.. The master bedroom was roomy enough, nothing special, was effecient. It was a queen size bed instead of a king.

The bathroom was also a nice size with GREAT water pressure..

Anything I missed?
Overall, it is a GREAT place to stay.. I really hope they build more of these things all over.. :sunny:

I am so happy that people are starting to report back and the everyone seems happy with the Nick hote. We'll be there JUne 29 and 30 before leaving on July 1 for Disney. It is me, DH, 2 dds (6 and 7) and ds (turning 5 this trip). We don't plan on going anywhere else (except maybe over to Downtown Disney to eat the second night). We just want to enjoy the hotel and the activities. We requested a king bed, bunk bed spongebob room but didn't request any location. Are there any locations that are better than others. We're doing the character breakfast - did you try that one? Also did you happen to notice if the kids spa was open? How was the night time entertainment - my kids are looking forward to seeing someone get slimed. Thanks for any info. Oh I also wanted to know what restaurants or fast food places were in the food court. Thanks again.

The kids spa was open on 5/2.They offered hair wraps, hair braiding and manicures. They don't have a food court. They have the buffets or your can have pizza from pizza hut delivered. They have a convience store that sells snacks and prepackaged sandwiches. HTH :flower:

Is that a possibility? That would be so cool for a birthday sleepover or something like that! Reya wants to go to the Nick hotel so bad it's killing her! LOL Glad y'all had fun!

They say it's the first ever hotel for kids which leads me to believe that if this is a hit, they'll be more to come.. I hope so...

The kids spa was open, but we didn't use it. I did see a lot of girls with their hair braided.
There isn't a food court.. My only complaint is there just isn't enough choices.. For dinner, you either eat the buffet or you order room service..I would love it if they had a fast food type place in the mall.

Dh and DS went to the Nick live show twice one night.. They didn't get slimed but saw others that did. DS, almost 6, LOVED it. It shows at 6:30, 7:45, I think, and one other time..
The had live entertainment by the pool, also.. More sliming and pie throwing.. And adults were a part of it as well as the kids.

We were given a coupon for a free box of popcorn and two coke products as well. That was very nice to have as a spare for our first night before we could get to the store for snacks.

I do have a few pictures of the hotel and room if anyone is interested. I just don't know how to put them up here.. :confused3

Thank you for the great information. I was under the impression that they would have food courts so since they don't I think I will definitely make a PS for downtown disney dining for our second night. It sounds like a really fun place and I know my kids can't wait to go.
