Hi!! My family has been flying from JFK to Orlando via Jet Blue for the last few years. However, we usually go to WDW at the end of August. Last year I booked about 6 months before and got good rates. I payed only $140 plus tax round trip per person. This year we are looking to be there 4th of July week. Now, never having flown during this week before, I do not know if fares are generally higher that week every year or Can I expect rates to just be higher all around this year with oil prices high? Right now, Jet Blue has rates at $256 per person including tax from JFK to Orlando. This is higher than I would like to pay, but am afraid if I wait they may even go up!

Did anyone fly July 4th week last year from JFK to Orlando and do you remember what you might have paid? THANKS SO MUCH for any advice you can give. I do not know if I should just book now or wait in hopes that they go down a little once we get closer. I know last year when booking for August, I saw prices change (lower) every now and then for different Aug. dates.

Thanks Again!! :flower:

It is still early. My mom is a TA and she suggests waiting until after the first of the year to purchase your tickets. So much is uncertain in air travel right now that flights are getting cheaper 4 months or so out.

Thank you for the information. I appreciate it. :sunny: I'll wait.

Anyone fly to Orlando on Jet Blue last year for the 4th of July week? Just wondering what you paid.

$250...That is what I paid two years ago to fly from JFK to Orlando on 4th of July weekend. I would book now, and keep an eye of the fares, if they go down call Jet Blue and they will give you a credit. I do it all the time.

Oh thanks Hockeygirl. So, you pay that price and do they give you credit toward your next flight or do they actually change your fare for the original flight, if prices go down? You mentioned you do this all the time. Do you book on line and then if you see the prices go down, then you call and get the adjustment?

I am sorry for all the questions, but I do not fly more than once a year, if even and have never had to change a flight or adjust a price as of yet. THANKS SO MUCH!

Just bumping!! Anyone else have experience with JFK to Orlando during the 4th of July week? THANKS!! :sunny:

I always book online, and then keep an eye of the prices. If I notice that the fares go down, I just call Jet Blue, and they give me a credit towards a future flight. I fly Jet Blue pretty frequently, so that works for me. I am not sure if they will just give you your money back, I never really asked.
