VDH is a longer contract, but there's still substantial years on VGC. VGC costs more up front but once you start factoring in the TOT to your overall VDH price, the equation begins to look different. Think of paying all of VGC upfront with not more transient tax to pay ongoing.
Before the tower was constructed we booked a room in Adventure tower at the back with the same view the tower would have. I hated it. It was clever of disney to construct a
DVC building on a parcel of their least desirable land that they'd otherwise have struggled to sell as a hotel. I bought another VGC contract with the money I put aside for VDH subsequently.
