Another HS Musical?

I had assumed that since HS musical 3 was the senior year that would be the end of it. But I just saw an article that implied that they introduced new sophmores so the saga could continue.

I haven't seen any of the movies and really don't have any desire to. They are filmed by me though and it creates traffic nightmares.

Anyone know if it's over yet?

One thing I've leared about Disney these days, is they'll squeeze every last penny out a franchise, or actor, etc.

High School Musical 4 is already a go! They are introducing new younger students in this movie and they will continue the high school musical trend. Hey Disney knows where the money is at and it is really in this demographic, I would venture to say HSM3 is the number 1 movie this weekend and it'll be a HUGE box office take. Actually we only have one movie theater here and it is completely sold out for this weekend already and it doesn't come out until tomorrow.

They say zac efron and a lot of the current cast are considering doing it, but may not. People like ashley tisdale have said they think it has been a great part of their life, but eventually you have to move on. Maybe disney needs to realize the same.

They don't have even close to a full cast right now accourding to imdb. They say HSM 4 is likely to be a tv movie though.

WOW. Well, I have nothing against it. It does seem to be getting a little old, and for alot of you I know you were tired after the first one, but Disney is not going to pass up an oppurtunity for money. Who would? Kids love HSM

I took DD to the movie this weekend. Of the new characters introduced, only one was what I'd call likable. We really weren't introduced enough to the one boy. And the "villain" girl was not as "love-to-hate" as Sharpay.

In this case, it's the characters that make the (somewhat cheesy) story. And without those characters, who cares.

Having the old cast wouldn't make a lot of sense since they are going to college. Unless the next movie follows them yet again through summer. I too see this as a television movie on Disney Channel.
