Another House Rental Question

Does anyone know if there is a site or messageboard that owners check for requests? We have our "primary" house rented and it's beautiful, but we have to check out of it on a Thursday and need a house to finish the trip in. I don't think I'm being too picky about it, but it's getting a little frustrating when I know there are probably 50 out there that fit my requirements:

Sleeps 9-10 and available the 4 nights we are looking for. No bells or whistles required(although a game room would be nice) We will winding down in this house, doing the beach one day, maybe back to a park one day and packing up and going to bed early another to get up early the last day and leave by 7 am.

Not sure what area you're looking in, but you can post a general inquiry at windsorhillsrent with your dates and general requirements. I must've gotten 50 responses in one day. HTH.

You can also do a general enquiry on www.fabvillas.com that's how i found our pool home for may. I got over 100 responses within a couple of days.

Are you asking to have a home in the same community as your first?You can go to sites like www . last minutevillas.net and scroll down to the community you want.
My community does have a message board where we post enquiries we cant take.Could you ask the owner of your villa to see if their community does too?

Wow, thanks for all the suggestions. I figured you all would have something for me to look at.

Now next question... It looks like the first week of October is pretty slow, wouldn't you think waiting until August or even September and posting my request on those sites will get lots of owners making offers to fill up thier empty houses?... Or should I go ahead and book now? Not a big deal, and thanks again for your help, but I was just curious what you all think?

Be aware that renting for 4 days will probably incur a cleaning charge on top of the rent and that if you want pool heat someowners have a 7 day minimum .As for october if you find a home that suits your needs and budget book it as it may not be available later on
