Another Hotel question (help me decide)

I am a bargin traveler. I usually use priceline or hotwire to book our hotels. But we had a horrible experience in Seattle using hotwire and my I have decided to try not to use them again. (our 2 star hotel that we booked through hotwire was NASTY, the room smelled like urine it was filthy and just a horrible experience)

So I found a deal from getaway today.
I really want a clean, decent place to sleep. And Close to disneyland so if need to go to the room to give my 1 year old a nap it's easy get there and back.
here are my hotel options

Castle inn (cheapest)
Clarion Hotel (+$20 than castle inn)
Raddison Hotel maingate (+30 than castle inn)
Anaheim internation Travelodge (+35 than castle inn)
Vagabon (+40 than castle inn)
Holiday inn express maingate ($140 more then castle inn)
Ramada plaza hotel (160 more then castle inn)
Holiday inn Aniheim at the park ($170 more then castle inn

I think I narrowed it down between the Radisson inn Maingate Ore the Clarion Hotel Anaheim. The clarion has better reviews.

I don't know where you were looking at rates for the Holiday Inn at the Park, but I have seen rates for this March at $58/nt. I can't see it being over $99 in the really high summer seasons. You might want to double check your rates.
A great service is www.sidestep.com - download it and do your searches and it brings up the best prices! I love it!

I used Priceline for my Disneyland hotel for March 10-13 and got the Doubletree Anaheim with a $46 bid. The reviews here and at www.tripadvisor.com have been good. You have to be careful when using Priceline or Hotwire. In general, stick with 3* or higher.

None of your choices except Castle Inn are REALLY close to the park entrance, although you could certainly walk to the Holiday Inn Express, the Radisson or the Clarion (if the Clarion is the same thing as the Quality Inn used to be?) --but it's about a ten minute walk probably.

Have you looked in the Carousel Inn, Park Place Inn or the Desert Inn and Suites? All of those are directly across from the park entrance and a really quick walk away.

Slightly digressing from the original post...

We booked our DL trip last year with expedia.ca

We stayed at the Anaheim Plaza Hotel. It's about a 3 minute walk from the esplanade. It was fairly clean, decent room size, balcony, swimming pool and hot tub, view of Tower of Terror and California Screaming, small gift shop with anything you may have forgotten to pack and a mexican restaurant with decent prices. I'd stay there again. It wasn't fancy but i was pleasantly surprised because it was fairly cheap. The shower was a bit tempermental.

Look into this hotel if you can.

ETA: It's on the corner of Harbor and Disney way.

Like NancyIL, we've also had great success with Priceline. We only book 3* and above hotels. We've booked for March 16-19 at the Doubletree as well for $52/night. In previous years, we've also gotten the Hyatt for $46 and Anaheim Marriott for $60. All of those hotels have great reviews as well, and after staying there, I agree they are 3-4* worthy.

We sometimes stay overnight in Seattle as well and I must admit that I would be hesitant to stay at anything less than a 3* there. Through Hotwire and Priceline, we've gotten some bargains for really nicely newly renovated Doubletrees in the Bellevue and Seatac areas.
