Another Hilton Head questions for all you booking experts!

Hi, we are going to change our Disney plans and put them off this summer and try Hilton Head Resort.(if we can get in) So tell me How hard would it be to get a 1 bedroom in july or do you think the beginning of august would be easier. When do the schools return down south? We were thinking of going July 29th - Aug 4th. or August 5 - 12th. Would it be better if we put it off till week august 12-18th? Sorry I'm so . Let me know my DH has to pick his vacation tonight. Thanks, Gina

All you can do is try because you never know what could be available when you call.

The key is to call early in the monring at the 7 month window and call daily to secure your reservation. If you try to block an entire stay in one phone call, it won't happen.

Keep in mind that there are many more 2 bedroom villas at HH than there are studios and 1 bedrooms. With that being said, our first two trips were booked at the 7 month window for 1 bedrooms without a problem. Whether it matter or not, this was probably 4 years ago or so, when I think the resort was a little less popular for summer vacations.

I can't answer your question about the weeks in August, but I believe July has been mostly sold out.

Hi,

As far as schools in the south - lots starts around August 10 or so - so you'd have better luck mid-Aug. I'd think. We'll be trying for June at 7 months - we rented points for 4th of July one year and it was so much fun - otherwise we've gone off season. Good luck!
