ANother HHI dining poll by a clueless rodent...

Wanted: Casual dinner at HHI; libations and water view, near resort, no long waits

  • Try the Sea Shack, Jack

  • Parrot Cove Cafe might fit the bill...

  • ONe of those bar-by-the-water deals, like Quarterdeck (Harbourtown) or Jump and Phils...

  • Hey, I think I just might know of a place like that (divulge the NAME and PLACE, please!)

  • Uh, yeah, right, I think it's called the KITCHEN in your villa!

(Gophers are rodents, aren't they? And does that make me and Mickey kissin' cousins? :love2: )

Anyway -- I did a poll on where DH and I should dine during KNO this Monday at HHI. HOWEVER... I got to thinkin bout it (scary) and wondered if maybe we would have just as much fun going somewhere laid-back and less formal... and if so, where would that be?

Criteria:

(1) Laid back and less formal (in case you missed that part, LOL!)

(2) Not too far away (we have about a 2.5 hr window to work with, coming to/from HHI resort worked into that timeframe... and just in case something happened, wouldn't want to be TOO far away from nippers. So makr Savannah off your list, haha!)

(3) Not so crowded that most of our 2.5 hrs will be sucked up standing in a line! Ugh.

(4) Libations are nice, and water view with it, even better!

(5) Prefer no chain restaurants (something "unique" is good)

I gave a few choices in the poll -- feel free to supply me with more! Also, I'll note again that we already plan to hit the following places together as a family during our week: Giuseppis, San Miguels, Salty Dog.

THANKS!!! :flower:

Personally, a six pack, pizza (delivered) and the jacuzzi for 2.5 hours is sheer heaven!

We really enjoyed Scott's Fish Market right across the bridge. Twelve of us went and not one person was less than thrilled with their food and we had some steak orders and some seafood orders.

Great waitstaff. Very pleasant and helpful. We did get there right at openeing so I don't know how long the waits get as we were seated immediately.

Another plus is that DVC members receive a 10% discount.

Mary

Last year we tried Hudson's food was good (I liked Scott's better) and the wait was very long.

Don't think I haven't thought of that, too, LOL! (Great minds, thinking alike again....)

DH and I spend so little time together, what with 3 kids, jobs, and this crazy world we live in...

And what, with it being our 15th anniversary and all ...

Well...

Hmmm....

Are libations and chow even necessary? <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZSzeb04242US' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/im/wink.gif' alt='The One Writing The Message Is Winking' border=0></a>

Ok, ok, ok, back to reality before I shut my own thread down -- more ideas, people, more input! I need data! Time's a wastin'!
