Inspired by this thread... http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3116529 and the lovely looking tin of tea, have any of you brought back loose leaf tea? I did ask the question if it was sealed in the main forum, but I'm thinking that you all may know.

I want it for the tin, but the tea wouldn't go astray either!!!

I'm glad you thought of this! Because I clearly didn't when I posted on that other thread :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::confused3

no problem to bring tea back..i bring tbags back all the time from overseas!

We purchased a package containing loose tea in Tokyo Disney. I did declare it but customs didn't even look at my things. Waved through!

Bonus when they don't spend the time looking!

DD bought a similar tea and a beautiful Alice teapot in 2008. We often bring back tea from overseas - never any problems-just waved through without an inspection. Latest trip via Singapore we brought back a Japanese stock powder Dashi - customs were mightily confused - what is it? When we explained it was a processed stock powder they were cool and didn't even bother looking at it.
