A little while ago someone posted that they upload their digital pics to their iPod while on vacation. Can you tell me how to do this? I have a Kodak DC4800 and a Sony Cybershot. Are there special cords involved? Are there additional adapters to buy? What kind of storage is on the iPod? How do you put pics on the iPod to your computer?? Details, details please!!! I want one for Christmas and I want to justify the need (beside storing music) for it. It would be great to be able to empty a photo card every day and just deal with uploading from iPod.

I use a Belkin Media Reader , which attaches to my iPod through the dock connector. It connects to my iPod, I put my memory stick in, and everything is transferred to the iPod's memory.

Your iPod is basically a hard drive; it can hold whatever you want to put on it, as long as you can get it on there. How much you can store is only limited by how much space you have on the iPod itself.

To get your pictures off the iPod, just connect it to your computer (either through the dock or just with the cord), and open it through the "My Computer" panel in Windows (it shows up as a peripheral device, like an extra hard drive). It'll open and your pictures will be in there.

Course, if you want it for Christmas, there is a new iPod coming out around that time - you might want to look into that...... just sayin'
