Another flying with kids question

I am sure this has been asked before but I know I need my "lap baby's" birth certificate but do I also need one for my 8 and 10 year old as well?

We have never needed them anytime we have flown. They usually just ask them their names.

Nope. With the exception of lap babies, children under 18 don't need ID.
