Funny thing is I remember before the pandemic, there were strategies to cut in line that were flat out encouraged online. Does anybody remember how to get to the front of the line at Food & Wine? Walk up to someone near the front of the line, pretend they're part of your party, and quietly offer to buy their drink if they play along. I remember being told it was such a great way to hack Food & Wine, and I couldn't help thinking how horrible an idea that was.

I'm not pointing this out to say anyone was in the right in this situation, but it's nothing new.

They’re still doing it. We were near the front of a long line at Dok-Ondar’s on May the 4th and a woman was asking everyone if she could cut because her flight was leaving soon Everyone told her no. Then we saw her later in the day..so I think folks have caught on.

But imo it’s not the same as going back to retrieve your phone, bathroom, accidents. Those I can understand. Where this family went went wrong was engaging and taking matters into their own hands rather than call a CM to defend them.

If we didn't have warning labels on everything, some of these folks would take a bath with a toaster or eat a lightbulb and we would not have so many problems.

Consider yourself lucky. When I first heard it, I thought that's not a half bad idea. Then my conscience and fear of confrontation kicked in.

It was during early entry and guests line up hella early for collectibles on May the 4th, so I thought maaaybe she’s telling truth. But, no, she still wasn’t cutting lol

To me, bribing a guest sounds like a dumb ploy, whereas a flight is plausible. We do the parks on our departure days. Still doesn’t warrant a cut though

Maybe... maybe not. The sheer numbers...city vs rural make it more difficult to accommodate those who are at risk. It's a hard life. I haven't given up but it's still very sad.

And you think RURAL communities have less issues AND are better equipped to handle them?

Yes. When someone decided the children in the families in that brawl would turn out exactly like their elders, with no hope for redemption, because "inner cities."

I have a hard time believing this is such a huge issue. I tend to believe someone if they say they need to reach a family member in line because they had to use the bathroom or retrieve an object. I just let them go. I'd rather think most people are honest with the occasional jerk. Hard to believe that anyone would go to war over a simple line issue.

I've read most of this thread but didn't see it mentioned. There was a big fight at Universal in the last 2 weeks also. City Walk was evacuated because someone reported hearing gun shots. People started running. Understandably.

Heard about both these fights from WDW vloggers.
