Hope everyone’s staying safe & well?

We’re booked on a European cruise on the Magic at the end of July - which I’m expecting to get cancelled.

It it is then we plan to rebook for a Caribbean cruise in the Fantasy summer (which will be around $2500 cheaper than our present cruise). If we do this, then i’d like to spend a few days post-cruise at WDW.

Does anyone know if I could use either the leftover funds from our previous cruise or any of the ‘extra’ 25% (if offered) towards the WDW portion of our trip (if booked altogether with DCL).

Thanks

You cannot. The FCC is for DCL only and use it or lose it. So the leftover balance not used in your cruise would go to onboard credit. Although I have seen people talk about splitting their FCC over 2 cruises, but not sure if that is actually allowed. You would have to ask DCL.

Thanks AgentMama - I’d read differing reports. I understood that the ‘Extra’ credit could only be used on board, but wasn’t sure about the money we’ve actually paid across.

As soon as you accept the FCC and actually use it, you've converted your refund. If you want cash back for a difference, you have to forgo the FCC and get an actual refund and then rebook (losing the 25% extra). That is my understanding.

Actually I've heard just the opposite, that people have been successful using the FCC on WDW resorts and park tickets and even airfare, in each case IF booked through Disney Cruise Line. I would certainly ask DCL if they will do that for you before making a decision.

Interesting and good to know! It would be nice to hear from people who have done that. It wouldn't occur to me to book my WDW trip through DCL.

We were told we could also book a room at the airport Hyatt for the pre or post stay in addition to transfers, park tickets, WDW hotels and on board credit on the ship.
