Another FastPass/ magic band question

Sorry if this has already been answered. I am getting confused about all of the FastPass strategies and such. My question is....do you have to use the magic bands or can you use the old system of using the card given to you upon check-in for unlocking your door and using it to obtain fast passes, photo pass,etc? Sorry for being "technology challenged."

You can ask for and use a RFID card. It's similar technology as Magic Bands.

But you can't use the card to pull FPs like you use to. The machines that use to spit out paper FPs have all be covered or removed. FPs have to be booked online or at a in park kiosk. You get 3 per day in one park with no repeat rides.

I didn't know they would still give you a KTTW card. Thought it was all MB.

It works at all the park touch-point entrance gates, FP+ reservation kiosks and FP+ entrances.

Yes. No "paper FP's" are being issued.

EXCEPT- There ARE kiosks for selecting FP+ reservations, where you can "pull" same-day FP+ (if you are eligible.)

The term "pull" can be used for the process of "obtaining" FP+, even though no actual
paper ticket is issued.

But it should be mentioned that yes you can get FP+s day of but it is still at this time only 3 per day, to be used in only 1 park and no repeat rides. Changes may be coming but no date as been set for those changes.
