another ebay question

They actually cannot - at least that is what they told me when a buyer was harassing and threatening me. I had all the emails (through Ebay) but was told they could not read them, they told me to try to get the person to use my personal email address and then report him to his IP.

And no Ebay does not usually side with the seller. The buyer just lists "not as described" and they get their money back - as long as they return the item.

I guess it depends on how long you've been a member, I know older accounts can call directly with any problem. But there have been a couple of times when I've talked to them about issues both on buying side and selling side. They told me they were looking over the messages sent by the other person.

Ebay isn't exactly friendly to new accounts or new sellers.

We usually offer a partial refund if a buyer has an issue. It's cheaper for us to give $10 back, rather than $20. And it saves the buyer from additional shipping charges and hassle. Then we don't have to worry about relisting the item again, and paying a new set of fees.

I have been selling on Ebay since 1999 and have over 4,000 fb on my selling account - so no, I am not a new seller.

My account is from 2001, but only 13 feedback. I had no problems calling them when I had a problem with a seller.

Seems so weird that it happens one way for some one, and another way for some one else.

Not a new seller either. My dated "ebay faqs" thread is still on the top of the Budget Board from back when I used to moderate this board. :lmao: Since 2002 with 2000 positive feedbacks at 100%.

My conversation actually consisted of how can you side with one person and not someone who has been paying you fees for 8 years??? Bugged the living daylights out of me.:mad:
