Hi. Does anyone know if half of your party can do the dolphin encounter and the other half do the swim? Can you have pictures taken together as a family if you are in two different programs? One more thing, if your family is in two different programs, would you be able to watch the other group?? (My youngest daughter isn't old enough to do the swim)

Thanks!!

Are you talking about the Dolphin Encounter in Cozumel?

If so, we did the "royal" swim" (which was fabulous) and one of the ladies in our group had an elderly mother who just stayed on the dock above us and took pictures - no problems at all.

I suppose it would depend how large the group watching was - but from what I saw, I'm sure they wouldn't mind.

Did you do the Royal swim through a private company?? If so, who was it. I am very interested in doing it myself but my ds and his gf do not want to do it. Since it is only the 3 of us going on the cruise....I dont know what to do with them while I am with the dolphins. They are both 17.

I wonder if they can still come to that park (chakanaab or whatever lmao) but wait for me to finish. I know excursions usually take you by bus from the ship etc....but how do i get the kids there etc??? Any help PLEASE!!!!!! LOL

thanks...tracy

If you are talking about the Dolphin Swim & Encounter in Cozumel - yes part of your family can do one and part can do the other. This is frequently done. If someone is not doing the swim they can take some pictures for you. They don't really take pictures of your family together other than the group you are in for the swim. The pictures are expensive! They wanted $30 per person! If you have more questions, just ask and I'll try to answer.

Disney uses taxis in Cozumel. The kids can catch a taxi to the park and back.

I booked our "royal swim" with Shoretrips.com and had no problems. You can also book directly with the company who provides the swim - dolphindiscovery.com

Just something I noticed - the DCL dolphin excursion, left the ship the same time as we did, and they didn't arrive at Chankanaab Park until 45 minutes after we did. They were probably waiting for the whole group to catch the taxis and then meet up again at the Park. In the meantime, we had had a swim and were just starting our "dolphin instructions".

We had no problem getting a taxi - there was a mile of them !!
