Your best bet is to go into an EB and put in an order for one that way you leave a deposit and you are guaranteed a console when they arrive.

Wow that sucks mind you even at 289 I would still pay it we love our Wii I got it in Nov for teh kids for X mas they love it so does my wife and I even our in laws have one now LOL.

we've been looking for one too.

can't believe they are still sold out - talk about trying to keep the buzz going. i'm getting tired of looking and am about to give up on it all together.

for us - the hype is gone and we can't be bothered anymore - humm maybe thats a good thing since we would have spent about $500 on the console, extra paddles, paddle attachments, additional games. humm $500 to spend at WDW next trip - win win i suppose.

My ds stayed out all night before Christmas just to get one. It is really great. The kids and I all love it. It actually does make you exercise and it is fun and easy to do.

Nintendo has currently sold over 5 millions Wii consoles world wide compared to just under 2 million PS3's and leads all console sales on a monthly basis by over 150 thousand units. Last month they sold over 350 thousand Wii consoles and the slosest was Microsoft with 228 thousand units and then Sony with a mere 120 thousand units these are US numbers.

I got mine at future shop this morning. They got a shipment and only had 16. I was one of the last few.

Congrats you are going to love it. We have ours hooked up via the component cables (extra) to our 56" HDTV and it looks great for only being 480P.

To speed up the checkout process and increase your chances of scoring a Wii, pre-enter all of your billing/shipping info with both Bestbuy and Futureshop. You gotta be quick cause those things sell out in minutes. There were a couple hundred today between FS and BB. I've seen most units get released on weekdays around noon eastern time (+/- a couple of hours). Good luck.

Well, I do have a university education but I don't think it's entirely necessary. Try playing while they're asleep, it's quite addicting really.

Ya I haven't had the chance to play it yet everyytime I try to play it the kids tae over the TV to watch a movie or a show and I get shafted LOL. I guess I will have to sit down and try it after they go to bed.
