I am confused about when the points expire. If it says the points expire june 2014, does that mean that I have to use them by that date. I am thinking if I don't use them before that date then when it gets closer to that date I will request my gift reward card and hang on to it until our next visit. Will that work or does it expire 2014 or just have to get the reward gift card by that date? Do the rewards gift cards expire? Now I am confused. LOL

I've never actually redeemed my points but I'm pretty sure they expire then, regardless of where they're at (the account or a rewards card). But I know a lot of people purchase Disney Gift cards with them and those DON'T expire, so that way they don't have to worry about it.

From what I'm remembering, the funds on the Rewards card will expire on Dec 31 of the year FOLLOWING The year that you request the Rewards card. In other words, if you request a card for your points right now, the card would expire on December 31, 2011.

So, I would think that if you request a card sometime in 2014, then it would expire on December 31, 2015. Of course, since that is still a few years away, their policies could certainly change between now and then.

If you log-on to your Chase Disney credit card account and go through the 'request Rewards card' link, then there will be specific details regarding expiration.

That's correct, there are sort of two expiration dates.

The 2014 date you're seeing is the date by which you have to transfer to a rewards card. But once you do transfer to a rewards card, anything transferred expires on the date of that card. The cards are always given an expiration date of December of the following year. So if I order one today, it will expire 12/2011.
