Another Disney-Universal question

I have learned quite a bit reading about options here.... I need some extra advice... If I'm staying Swan,and my Sis is staying at ASMU, is it possible/feasible to hire a taxi to pick her and her Dh up,then to swing by the Dolphin, and pick us(4) up? I know we'd need to ask for a minivan, but I like the freedom of a taxi that allows us to come and go when we want..... thinking about what is most cost effective also.

Yes, you can certainly do that, but of course you'll pay for the travel between resorts.

If anyone is comfortable driving, what about renting Alamo/National from right there at the Swan/Dolphin and just driving and parking for the day?
