Another Disney to Universal for a Day Question

We are going for a short visit (4 days) and staying on-site in DW, we really (or I really) want to go to IOA for a day and won't have a car this trip. There will be 6 or 9 of us going. We'd like to get there for opening (9:00) and leave about 5:00. I'm thinking about this for a Sunday. What is our cheapest option? I've done a search and I see there's a Mears shuttle, which is about $15 pp. Is that correct? Anyone know what times they run? Would renting a car be a better idea? There is one car in the group, but all 9 of us won't fit in there. So, we would only have to rent a small vehicle because we can split up. I don't know. Maybe I should scrap the whole idea. What do you think?

Since you are only staying at Disney for 4 days, renting the car would be a good idea. That way, you can use it for transportation to the airport and back, plus your drive up to IOA. And you can visit other places, like restaurants.

Most people stay at Disney for a week, so renting the car for 7 days would add up. But for only 4 days, it might work out. Try www.thrifty.com as their rates are better than the bigger chains.
