Another DIS'er achieves the "Leslie" at Millionaire!

This harks back to a post from Leslie (Beauty LLM) from earlier this month, describing her experiences in the Hot Seat at WWTBAM. I also got to the Hot Seat on the 18th(in the #1 slot after the fastest-finger winner bombed at 8000), zipped through most of the early questions, but had to flip the mental coin on the 500,000 question and guessed wrong. Bummer! I was so close to the cruise, I could smell the salt air! Oh, well. Maybe next time. At least I'm in pretty good company!

Congrats Steve on your getting into the hot seat.
Isn't it incredible how you can feel fairly intelligent until you sit down in that seat and look up at your face that is looking back at you?
I did better than I thought I would when I got in. Tried this trip but they were always packed and I didn't have time for the FP wait around.
My sister got in when I was doing other things and got 1000 points. She used her lifelines on the simple Disney questions. I think she is adopted.. Peggie

I know just how you feel...so close and yet so far..

My consolation is that I have done better each time I have made the hotseat...first time to just 2000 , second time to 125,000 and third time to 500,000. If my pattern hold true to form...who knows what will happen next time??

Did they make you wear the hat during the game? I did...

I got tripped up by:
What director acted as host and narrator of the Lux Radio Theater? Choices were Cecil B. DeMille, D. W.Griffith, Mack Sennett & John Ford. I guessed Ford, it was DeMille. Oh, well. At least I'll remember from now on!
