I know "another" dining question... But do your table mates have to wait until you get there before they can get served? Not that I plan on being late but what happens if you do Palo one night. Do they get stuck waiting forever and you don't show up? I was just wondering how that works? Thanks!!

Debbie

When we know we are going to Palo on a future night we usually let our servers know. I think each server handles late comers in their own way. I have heard people say they had to wait until the rest of the party arrives to order, and I have heard the opposite that the servers took their order right away....

We were a table of 3 families. The second and third nights one couple did not show up at all. Our servers got our drinks right away, and after no more than 5 minutes or so, took our food orders. We did not wait long.

That's why we do the late seating. With DD"s 13 and 11 it takes a little longer to "get ready". It is more convenient to be late for the shows than the dinner seating.

We let our servers and tablesmates know the night before that we wouldn't be there on Palo night.

How do you go about letting your servers know? Do you tell them the night before at dinner?
Thanks for all your replies!!

How do you go about letting your servers know?

If they haven't graduated from mind-reading academy - or taken a recent refresher course even if they have - you might want to verbally tell them...

What happens if you don't like your dining partners or they don't like you? Do you go on a starvation diet?:p

There was a long thread about this a little while ago. We didn't care for our tablemates, we were at a table of 10, so after the first night we asked the head server to be moved. You can also dine at Topsiders when available, room service, Plutos, Palo, or Pinocchios. You won't starve.

It's hit or miss if you'll like your dining partners. The table we were moved to was great and ended up spending the rest of the week with them both at dinner and during the day.

Hi hulagirl,
Found you!!!

:p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p I thought I was done with my obsession but now there's the Disney Cruise Forum. Uh oh, here we go again! It's useless to fight it isn't it?

JOC - I've been on all day. I read a thread about the 12 step program for DISsers. Gotta love it! :p

hulagirl,
I sent you another PM (if you haven't read it yet)!

Also Palo sends notations down to the main dining room. We escorted our son to dinner. OK so my husband double dipped:rolleyes: and our server said he was surprised to see us as we had reservations at Palo.
