DH and I are planning to upgrade our tickets to AP and I am considering the DDE Card.

Is the card good for alcoholic drinks? Also can I use the card with the Dinning Plan. We have the deluxe plan for our upcoming trip. We are vacationing without the kids and will spend a lot of money on drinks. Can I use the DDE at restaurants for any part of our dinner that isn't covered under the dinning plan.

Finally, we are staying at the values, can I use the card there at the bar and food court.

Thank you

Yes, you can definitely use it for alcohol. I used it at Canada for a take-out bottle of ice wine! Remember, however, that now (not in effect when I did it) if you do get a bottle to go, you will still pay the 18% tip on it.

I'm pretty sure you can use it in the value's food court. We were able to at Pop Century a while back.

Isn't the discount 20% if they are charging 18% on every purchase then where is the savings? :confused3

How much would you regularly tip? The savings are only absent if your general procedure would be to never tip at all, or to tip very small amounts.

I usually tip 20% that wasn't what I referring to. Let me rephrase my question.
Do they add 18% to everything For instance If I go into Germany to buy a bottle of wine to take back to my room do they add 18% to that. That is not a situation where a tip is warranted so my 20% discount would be reduces to 2%
What about a bottle of beer for DH at the food court, also not a tipping situation, do they add 18%?

Food courts and CS that accept TIW do not add tips. I really don't know where one buys a bottle of wine to go on TIW in Germany - if you buy it in the restaurant, then yes, they'll add the tip.
