Ok so the DC just extended their 10% off rates code thru December along with the 1 day free on weekday rental. The 1 free days has a contract ID and it does not appear that you cannot use it with another coupon. Here's the lingo:

For reservations, call 1-800-CAR-RENT (1-800-227-7368) or book online at www.nationalcar.com. Be sure to specify Contract ID# ******* to receive One Free Weekend Day When Renting for 3 Days and present this coupon at participating National rental counters.

Offer valid now through December 31, 2001.

Offer Limitations:
Available now through December 31, 2001.

Standard age, driver, and credit rental qualifications apply. Offer valid only at U.S. locations. Valid for Compact through Full-size 4-door car categories. Some promotional conditions may apply. Valid for car classes indicated at participating National locations. Subject to availability, blackout dates and capacity control. Minimum and Maximum rental requirements apply. Weekend rentals require a Saturday night keep. Weekly rentals must be for 5 or more days. Standard rental qualifications apply. Minimum rental age at most U.S. locations is 25.

National may elect not to rent to any person who does not meet National's safe driver criteria, or who has incurred one or more insurance losses with National. Unless contrary to law, any liability insurance available to the renter or authorized driver will apply to all rentals under this Program. Discounted rates does not include taxes, governmentally authorized surcharges, license recoupment fees, concession recoupment fees (up to 12% US/14%CAD), or airport fees, or optional charges such as refueling service charges, Loss Damage Waiver, Personal Accident Insurance/Personal Effects Coverage, Supplemental Liability Insurance, or any other optional items or services.

Can this be used with the 10% off coupon, since the free day is a contract ID and not coupon code?? The National webpage lets you use it, just wondering if anyone has used both successfully? Thanks!!!
:)

if it starts with a 1******* then it is a coupon code

if it starts with a 5****** then it is a contract code...

and yes you can use this in addition to the Disney Club contract code or id

right now the Disney Club discount is 20% off a "certain" base rate which is a lil higher than the EA base rate ....so it is sometimes a better deal.....even though using the EA contract id does not show a "discount" listed in the break out .....it is there in the base rate...but Disney Club and its coupons seem to be the best deal right now.....

sometimes when the base rate is low the $ rate for the free day drops below 15$ that is when you want to use the 15$ off that entertainment book has .....and i thnk there are other "$$$ off " coupons from other firms eg delta sams...etc

Thanks lawgs!!! I knew you'd answer me :) You've always been a great help.

I think we're talking about the same codes, since the contract starts w/a 5 and coupon starts with a 1. I've gotten a really nice rate, approx 125.00 using the combo of the DC contract and coupon.

Thanks again :)
