I have 2 kids who have been given DAS cards when we went in 2014. They will get them again when we go in June. Since we have been, there have been some changes such as adding it to the magic bands. I have another son and my husband so there will be 5 of us total. Will guest services link all our bands to both of their DAS's? For example, my son with the DAS likes thrill rides, my daughter likes some and not others. Will my son be able to get a return time for all of us for a ride he likes and my daughter for one she likes at the same time or do we have to use up his first and then get one for her? I just need to know now so I can explain to them how it works and that they will have to take turns. I also need to plan what some of us will do while the others are using the DAS for a ride. Thanks so much for your help!!

Everyone can only have 1 active return time at a time. So if you're all riding, 4 of you could be on your daughter's and your son would need his own. Or you could split it 3 and 2. If the DAS holders want to do different rides, everyone will have to decide which one they want to go with at the time you get the return times.

since your son like thrill rides and your DD dose not you can have your son get a return time say for space and you DD can get one for buzz at the same time. just like the PP said you can only be on one DAS at a time I do not know how all is going I am guessing mom dad 3 kids) so you could have Dad on son mom on DD and the 3 child can decide

Everyone can be linked and should be linked to both DASs but each individual can only have one return time. So you should be linked to both the DAS for your son and your daughter but can only schedule a return time with one or the other.
The one thing they can't do is link 2 DAS together. Each one operates independently.

Post one of this thread has up to date information about how DAS. Works at WDW.

Don't bother reading any other posts because they are from just before/after DAS began.

As was already mentioned, the people DAS is issued to can only be on their own DAS (two DAS cards can't be linked together). But, the other members of your group can be linked to both DAS.

Each person can only have one active DAS Return Time at a time. If they both want to go on the same attraction, they will each need to get a DAS Return Time for that attraction. If they want to go on different ones, they would each get a Return Time for 'their' attraction. Other members of your group will need to decide which attraction they want go on and be added to that Return Time.

Keep in mind that you can also use Fastpasses. DAS works best when used with Fastpass.
