Hi everyone,

Even though we're a month out from our 60 day window, I'm starting to put together my FP plan for our trip. I'd welcome any thoughts you have. I also wonder if it's necessary for me to be online at midnight of our first day in the FP booking window. If we'll be able to get what we want without me losing valuable sleep, I'd certainly be a happier camper.

We are a family of 3. DS will be almost 3 and too short for any rides with height requirements. Our priority is that he enjoy the trip , so we'd rather skip attractions he can't enjoy if the FPs will save lots of waiting on attractions he can enjoy.

Here is our tentative plan.

Sun. Sept. 20
-- arrive at AKL around noon
-- pool time and explore AKL in afternoon
-- 4:30 ADR at Coral Reef
-- Disney Visa Character area after dinner and possibly some attractions. Is it worth booking FPs? We won't be going on Test Track, Soarin or Mission Space.

Mon. Sept. 21 (Epcot Day)
Our plan is to do Future World in the morning and World Showcase in the afternoon (with break at hotel if needed). I think that DS will enjoy Figment, Nemo and Turtle Talk. Which 2 FPs should I choose?
-- 6 pm dinner at Rose and Crown

Tues. Sept. 22 (MK Day)
We plan to arrive at rope drop. We have a 10:30 breakfast at Crystal Palace. Must dos are:

- Meet Mickey
- Jungle Cruise
- Pooh
- Dumbo
- Afternoon parade

Maybes are
- Enchanted Tales
- Peter Pan
- 7DMT (If using an FP on this won't prevent us from getting on the rides DS will be able to do)

I'm thinking FPs for Mickey, Jungle Cruise and one other TBD.

Weds. Sept. 23 (AK Day)
DS loves animals, so we plan to mostly walk around and enjoy the animal exhibits. I was thinking of using FP for the Safari and either Nemo or Lion King. We have a noon ADR for Tusker House.

Thurs. Sept. 24 (last full day)
I'm thinking that we will do another pool day if the weather is good and then make our way to either MK or AK depending on which my son most wants to revisit. We have a 6 p.m. ADR at Sanaa

Fri. Sept. 25 (check out)
We're driving to visit friends in Miami after we leave WDW, so we have lots of flexibility about when we leave. I booked a 9:30 ADR at Cape May Cafe and a 1:30 ADR at Chef Mickey's. We can either keep one of these, or do a Downtown Disney day and eat at T-Rex. (I thought my son would enjoy T-Rex, but I'm worried about all the construction). Another option would be to cancel the ADRs and just hang out at the resort until we are forced to check out.

I won't critique, haven't been back to WDW since FP+ came about and don't know the lines.

I will say...just like any zoo, the best time for the safari as early in the morning as possible. Animals, especially big ones, are always more active in the morning, they'll nap when it starts to get hotter out. I would aim for it at RD, but if you think you're son will like it more than once, maybe get a FP+ for it later when lines are longer.

1. I'd book a FP+ for Nemo, or Turtle Talk. Why not save 5-15 minutes on those rides if you can?! :) Or at least book 1 of them if you don't think you'll be there late enough.

2. Doesnt' really matter which FP+ out of Nemo or Turtle Talk or Figment.

3. I'd FP+ Enchanted Tales, 7Dwarfs & Jungle Cruise to save the most time and RopeDrop Peter Pan so you can experience the new queue and then go to Pooh right after. Mickey isn't that bad of a line most of the time but the others listed above have worse lines.

4. I'd FP+ Lion King, Safari (and possibly ride twice, once at Ropedrop and once with FP+), & the Adventure Outpost character spot with Mickey & Minnie together in their safari outfits. It's the only place to have a picture with both Mickey & Minnie in all of the parks.

5. sounds good! Do last minute FP+ once you decide which park the night before. :)

6. My kids loved TRex (they were almost 4 & 5 years old). We also enjoyed Chef Mickey's for breakfast, not sure what the food is like at lunch. I wouldn't do both of those meals, just don't think you'll be hungry enough!!!

have fun!!!

@tink9702 has lots of good suggestions. I'd add Living with the Land and Spaceship Earth as Epcot rides where lines can get long, so why not book the FP+ if you want to ride them. You'll easily be able to get Peter Pan, Pooh, Dumbo done before CP 10:30am ADR.

I also wonder if it's necessary for me to be online at midnight of our first day in the FP booking window.

Probably not necessary. For our trip (April) we did the FP+ at midnight because we wanted to be absolutely sure we got what we wanted. But over the next few days, we were able to move the FPs around no problem. But summer is more busy.
