I received my Connections material in the mail today and quickly wnet to the Disney meal certificates page. As per other posts, they listed "Vacation Kingdom Dinner Certificates" which included restaurants like Flying Fish, Citricos and California Grill (to name but a few). So I called to get more info. The first three times I called I logged in with my ID number only to hear silence on the other end for a good five minutes. So I called back and hit the general program info number and someone quickly responded.
I asked about the dinner certificates and was met with more silence. After she tried to convince me that these were quick and casual I asked to speak to a supervisor. Was put on "ignore" again for five minutes and then I hung up. Started reading the membership materials and NO WHERE did they list the cost of the membership. At that point, I was determined to cancel.
I called back and got the "party line" about what a great program this was, so I shared with "Sarah" why I was cancelling..the lack of info on membership fee and the certificates. She offered to investigate the dinner certificates for me. When she came back on the line, she tried to convince me that "Vacation Kingdom" was the name of the restaurant and, opposed to the quick and casual restaurants, this was a sit down, full service restaurant. I started to explain that "vacation kingdom" was not a restaurant but then I gave up. Cancelled on the spot. She offered to cut the membership fee from $79.95 to $19.95. No thanks!!!!
