Another comment - not that awful diet!!!!

Went to stay with my brother in London this weekend. His girlfriend was brilliant - Don't you look well!!! etc etc. But Mr Gloomy Pants had to chuck in - " It'll kill you, you know!!" AAAAGH - multiple expletives!!!! No it won't!!!! Read the book!!!!

I'm eating far better and healthier now that I was before - I have actually no urge whatso-ever to sit and eat a whole box of chocolates in one sitting, or a whole tube of Pringles or even a whole tub of ice-cream!!! When I hit the fridge - none of those things even exist in there now!!! Lots of cheese,eggs, olives and veggies tho.

I think I want 'Atkins IS good for you!!' tattooed across my forehead!!!

Isn't it annoying? I just read a Good Housekeeping article where the author said Atkins doesn't incorporate vegetables or exercise! Did this guy even look at ANY Atkins info, because veggies are very much a staple and exercise is really emphasized. It's too bad people latch on to one aspect of Atkins (like bacon!) and ignore the reality of the whole plan. Oh well, as long as it's good for you, right?

These comments from truly UNINFORMED people can be maddening! I just remind them that it's working for me and I'm doing it under my doctor's watchful eye. No, my cholesteral is NOT through the roof, etc. I try to just smile, but it's so hard sometimes.

You've made your informed decision and are doing great. Don't let comments by people who haven't researched the eating plan get you down!

Our friend said exactly the same thing to hubby and I...we couldn't believe it...he is a fairly smart man/friend.

Well, I guess we will show him when we see him again...hubby and I are now both down 30 pounds, with plenty to go...but this friend will be in shock. We probably won't see him for a couple months yet.

I know people have different ways to lose weight...but support from friends would be a whole lot nicer than saying something nasty about the plan each person chooses.
