Another Christmas Season at Disney!! Our December 2010 PTR

Subbing in! Can't wait to read more about your plans :) I am so jealous - I wish we could take advantage of Free Dining...heck I wish we could even stay on-site, unfortunately that was not possible this trip with as many people as we'll have - but I'm hoping to start going to Disney at least every other year for vacation from now on...so we'll eventually get to stay on-site!

But anyway, I also just wanted to pop on and say that we're doing MVMCP the same night as you! :santa: That will actually be our last night at the parks. :sad1: I have to say though (I also had the passes shipped to me!), I was suprised the passes they sent to us were not any different looking than our park passes, I thought they would be cute & Christmassy. Oh well - doesn't really matter I guess, I'm just so excited to experience Disney with the Christmas atmosphere in full swing!!
I totally agree with you about wishing the MVMCP cards were Christmas-y! For some reason, I remembered they were. I went back through my cards over the years and they were just regular cards for the past two years. I can't find my cards from 2007, but I'm almost certain they had a wintery theme to them. They really should make them look different from the regular park passes. It helps with the whole anticipation of the event!

We are staying at POR from Dec. 4th through the 13th and are planning on attending MVMCP the same night!! :santa: That day is going to be our down day to relax at the resort and get a good nap in for DS (4)...and probably DD (10)...heck, we will all probably need a nap at that point. We have ADR's at Chef Mickey's for dinner and then will head over to MK for the party!!

I can't wait to hear more about your plans.

Trish

Welcome! The day we are doing MVMCP is our day of arrival. We usually go to Downtown Disney beforehand to eat and walk around. It's also more of a relaxing day for us as well (if you count driving 10-12 hours that day as relaxing)! :rotfl2:

Wow, your countdown widget says we are about 4 months and 2 weeks away. That seems so close! I keep thinking it's more like 6 months.

Is it true you are from Maine? I was born there!

I promise I'll get a cast of characters and pertinent trip information on here soon! But until then, here's a photo from last year's MVMCP. Our girls can barely keep up with all the excitement!

It's a good thing you guys rest during the day so the kids have enough energy. :rotfl:

Haha, seriously! We do push them a little hard when we are at Disney (go, go, go!), but they take it in stride. We often go back to the hotel mid-day to get a recharge. But with MVMCP, we usually don't leave until midnight and we've gotten back to the resort close to 2am sometimes!

Yay!! Disney in December is awesome!! We are going to be there around the same time you guys are!! (at the pop though)

That picture of your girls is so precious!! My daughter has the same mini outfit your eldest is wearing. Disney does wear the little ones out ;)

We've stayed at the Pop before, it was great!

Isn't that outfit so cute?! Last year was the first year we actually went shopping and bought apparel. Even DH bought a jacket in DTD. It's easy to get carried away!

Looking back through our pictures, I realized we probably have too many pictures like that! Apparently, we just let them drop when they drop!
lol! well it means they had a good time, right? can't wait to see more. unfortunately, our little guy rarely sleeps in his stroller!:confused3

Cast of Characters

Whew, now that school has started and things are slowing down a little (maybe!), I have a few minutes to post!

Names have been changed to protect the innocent...

First up, DH Prince Eric and DD Snow White. :)

X

Next, myself (Princess Ariel!) and my DD Snow White.

X

Finally, my youngest DD, Princess Belle. (Ok, this picture isn't really fair. It was taken at Disney when she was 2 months old, but it's one of my favorites. She's almost 2 years old now, but I can't resist posting it!)

X

More trip details to come!

OMG, that is the sweetest picture of you little one as a baby! so darn cute! love all the cast, you guys are just a gorgeous family!

It's getting more real now that we will be there in 21 days!

Today, I am filling out and submitting my daughter's form to get her absence excused as an educational experience. I am attaching the following lesson plan:

United States Geography
o Southeastern States & Their Major Cities
• North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida

International Geography
o Foreign Countries & Their Cultures
• Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, Japan, Morocco, France,
United Kingdom, Canada

American History
o American Accomplishments Past, Present, & Future
• Presidents Throughout History
• Space Travel & Discoveries

Science
o Land & Sea Exploration
• Dinosaurs & The Pre-Historic Era
• Ocean Creatures & The Living Seas
• Greenhouse Farming & Fish Farming

How could they turn that down?? Plus, on the first day she'll miss, her class is going to see Disney on Ice. We'll be seeing Disney, too, just the real thing!

Lesson plan looks fabulous- i know i wouldn't turn it down- not that i am a teacher or anything. but looks good! too funny that her class is seeing disney on ice on the day you leave! :thumbsup2
