We have an exchange in my family where it's a girl/guy exchange. My DH brings for the guys and me for the girls. I can usually find ideas for the girls but am running out of them for the guys. All of them vary so much in their interests, that I can't think of anything to get this year. We do the exchange in a dirty bingo way and don't actually know what's inside until the exchanges are finished. Our price range is Max of $25. Any ideas?

What about a handheld electronic game, like poker or fishing? Or maybe tools, you can get a socket set for around $20. Or an emergency car kit with jumper cables in it, you can find them on www.collectionsetc.com , Amazon, and I've seen them in Walmart in the past.

I haven't decided what I'm buying my BILs yet, but my sister said she was getting the guys one of those flashlights that don't need batteries. Just a thought. :)

Mag-light (those expensive, can't break-em flashlights)
GC pack (ranging $5-10 each) for something like Blockbuster movie rentals, restaurants, Sears (hardware dept.) Barnes & Noble, Dick's sporting goods, deluxe car washes (those usually range $17-22 for super-deluxe) Oil changes
Car wash kit: nice brush/sponge, soap, bucket, etc.....
I like the jumper-cables idea
If you live in cold climates: a nice ice scraper, de-icer, heavy gloves, HEAT/STP gas treatment
Assortment of dress/casual/sport socks, gloves,
t-shirts or sweatshirts, ballcaps (especially for favorite college or pro-sport team in your area)

*I* want one of those flashlights!!! We can't be the ONLY family out there who is constantly looking for a flashlight that has batteries and that works when you need one! :)

Last year I got my Uncle an electric heated throw blanket to wrap up in while he watched his sports on TV. He loved it.

craftsman saw horses at Sears -- don't know what's so great about them but I know the guys in my family LOVE them.

We have the exchange where people steal, and the most sought after gifts are alcohol and chocolate! ;) Most alcohol stores have very nice prepackaged sets - like a margherita combo, etc. Or a pack of beers from around the world.

Not to hijack your thread or anything but I've never heard of this.....anybody got a link?

I've gotten my BIL, FIL, and StepFIL sweaters. I know they'll use them. I'm also getting everyone Lotto scratch tickets.

How about one of those gift combos of jerky made of deer, buffalo, wild turkey meat etc. Very macho. ;) I think most men would like at least the thought of this, even if they don't actually like the flavor, and it wouldn't matter which one got it, it's universally male. Urg, big meat. :rotfl:

How about a movie night gift bag...... get a blockbuster or other rental gift card and put popcorn, candy, peanuts and etc..in it......I did this last year for my Bro and he loved it! :cool1:

Our local discount store had these advertised a few weeks ago. I thought it sounded great and went to check them out, but decided not to buy one. The ones they had didn't look like they'd be bright at all.

I'd be interested in hearing about better models.
