Hey hello everyone!

So here I am, 8 Days away from my DL Trip :rotfl: , and I still don't have a ticket.
I'm not a Southern Californian resident, but is there any place that I could get a cheaper 3-day hopper ticket than the $179 one on the DL website?

I'm sure this question has been asked ad nauseum, but if anyone could forward me to the answer, I would soooo appreciate it :)

Getawaytoday.com!!

Another site I found was funex.com. But your or someone you know's employer has to be registered with them, so I don't know if that would work for you. Besides funex, GAT is the cheapest I've found.

Go to Disney's site and put in 2009 for tickets and the promotional "everyone plays at kids price" will come up so you get 3 days for $149.

Ahh alas, the rush delivery charge is killin me... $25 is a little steep for me :(. Plus, when you add it to the ticket price it comes up to be even more than paying the price at the DL site and just printing it out :(

AHHH SO CLOSE!
I was soooo excited when I read your reply shauna, but we're going to be there from Jan 3rd to the 6th, and the promotion you're talking about doesn't stand until the 6th! How lucky am I, eh? :confused3

GAT isn't actually delivering anything to you. Call them, see why a rush charge shows up, and see if they'll reduce the normal fee for ya.

But really it seems you should get an AP, doesn't it? In which case you should use the Deluxe Offer to get a Deluxe AP for 239. You can get it until the 31st...

Sorry to hijack the thread but I was wondering where I buy the Deluxe AP for $239? I was looking for it on the Disney site and can't find it? :confused3

Here's the link...

Advanced Purchase Price Valid until 12/31/08. And they do not have to be activated until Jan 2010 I believe.

Thanks for giving the link. I was elsewhere. :)

For anyone using that, be sure to use the print at home option! Someone around here had them send the voucher as their printer wasn't working, and the expiration date was much earlier.

FWIW they send the voucher to your email as a PDF attachment. So if you have it sent to an email address that can be accessed from any computer, you can print it wherever you can have access to computer + printer. Just in case something goes on the fritz right before you print.

AAA sells 3 day passes for $179, but they also include free parking if you will have a car. That would save you around $36.

So, what was decided as the best deal for a 3-day park hopper?

What about the best deal for a 3-day ticket after the "kids price" promotion is over?

(looking for the in-laws...)

I was at Safeway on Christmas Eve picking up some last minute dinner items and saw that they sell 3 day park-hoppers. I had to call my parents immediatly because thats what they were getting the kids anyway and were going to order them online.

They were able to run down and purchase them and I want to say they were $149 as well.

Its worth a shot if you live near one. :)

edited to add: the park hoppers offered by Safeway were good until January 2010 I believe.

Cool, thanks!
I'll check that out while I'm out tomorrow!
Thanks for all the input guys! Love this forum :D

Oh geezes.
I bought the Deluxe AP RIGHT before my brother mentioned about the 239 deal for it !!
Ha. I felt dumb.
Oh welllll.. too late now!

Alright, so following bumbershoot's advice, I'm considering getting an AP instead of a 3-day hopper. I figure if I go at least one more time this year, I'll be doing myself a favor, right?

My NEW questions are:
1) How much is it to renew your AP? Will renewing trump buying a 3-day hopper two times a year?
2) Is it worth it to buy one, even if I might go on a DL trip only one more time besides this trip this year?

Ps, I'm SURE this question's been asked like 234352 times on this thread, I'm sorry for asking a done to death question!

I believe the renewal rate is $20 less than the going AP rate. We had APs in 2006 and loved having them. It is worth it if you are going to go at least twice for two days. That year we thought we'd go twice and ended up there 4 times. It was great to get the dining discounts as well. We're going in Feb, but won't be back within the next year or else we'd get another AP.

If you go twice for 3 days that is well over the cost of doing the deluxe AP! Especially considering you can get it for 30 dollars off right now. That is only for first time passes though is it not? Someone can correct me on that...

We got AP's since we'll be going four times in a year and it is saving us hundreds of dollars in ticket costs! :) Do it! You know you wanna!

Yes you are right, Krissy. It is only for a new AP. If one already has an AP, then just allow it to expire, then purchase a new one, at the discounted price.

And so..... I BOUGHT an AP.
Kind of excited..... Actually REALLY stoked! :D

Thanks for all the advice guys! I followed my heart (and your words of wisdom) on this one! Hahaha :thumbsup2
