Another Change?

A friend of our just got back from WDW and had heard a rumor that they were going to change the Buzz Lightyear ride in some way. The ride doesn't seem old enough to warrant a change. What's up?

Could just be a technology update. Most of the "shoot with lasers" rides that are opening this season -- Scooby Doo's Haunted Mansion at Paramount Parks, for example -- are using new and improved laser guns. Could be that Disney is looking to add the new technology to Buzz.

The guns on th Buzz attaction are the worst of any attraction of its kind. My thumb always aches after riding Buzz. I haven't heard of any plans to do any with this attraction though. Disneyland is getting a new Buzz attraction, maybe that is what they were talking about.

Would be nice... I'm a bone fide British Army and civilian marksman, taught the subject for years in many different kinds of weapons and I can't hit diddly squat when it comes to Buzz Lightyear. Kinda narks, that...
