Another Canadian resident discount before tiering?

Do you think we'll see another Canadian resident discount before tiering comes into effect? Or after for that matter?

I think that depends on the currency exchange rate, not on tiering. If the exchange rate remains unfavorable, Disney knows what to do if they want more Canadian guests. But I'm guessing there won't be any others this year. The last offer was for tickets that expire at the end of 2018.

Yes the last 2 years the offer started in the fall and ran for 4-6 months, tickets expiring the year after the promo started. I was wondering if they might run another similar promo this fall, but so hard to say.

The tickets they offered at the Canadian resident rate in 2017 didn't have an expiry date attached to them. I know because we bought them and we're using them next year! The tickets offered in 2018 at the Canadian resident rate do expire at the end of this year (we also bought those for our trip this year!) I have a feeling they're not going to offer Canadian resident tickets again for a while but we'll see!

What is tiering?

Basically hving different prices based on when you go. Right now single day tickets are tiered into Value, Regular and Peak season pricing. So it costs say $30 more to go on July 4th than say June 25th. But for now multi day tickets cost the same no matter when you go. However this fall they will be implementing the tiered pricing on multi day tickets. It's very likely this is going to result in a large price increase for those who purchase peak season tickets. And probably a not insignificant increase just for regular season.

:faint:

I'm hoping they'll offer another CDN resident deal sometime late 2018 for 2019. Either that or the dollar goes up, lol.
