Another Cali Gril and fireworks question

We have ADRs for 5:30 and fireworks are at 9:00. I figured we would be done eating at around 7:00-7:30. What should we do to wait? What time should we come back? Do we check in on the 2nd floor and just show our receipt? HELP!

I'm guessing you couldn't get a later ADR? That's a long time to just wander around the CR. You could ride around on the monorail, visit Poly and GF just walk around a bit.
I am not sure if they will let you back up - we always make sure to get an ADR close to showtime.

Others have said if your done eating before the fireworks start you can come back later to the check-in area on the 2nd floor, show them your reciept for that evening and they will let you back up to watch them.

It's probably not enough time to leave the Contemporary, so perhaps sitting at the Wave bar isn't too bad an idea.
Some might even suggest just going to the MK and watching them from there---.

Hi. We ate there Thursday night. We were told by the hostess that we could come back and watch the fireworks because we had reservations for dinner there that night. Our reservations were for 6 p.m. Check in on the
2nd floor, just as you do for dinner, and tell them that you had already been there for dinner and they will bring you up.

Dress just like you did for dinner.

We (DH, me, 9yoDD and 6yoDD) all love CG. The girls request it every trip. Last trip was the first time they'd seen the fireworks inside MK and both said that they didn't want to do that again....just watch them from CG.

CG was the first place my girls ever ate salad...so any place that can get my anti-veggie kids to eat salad is #1 with me.
