Okay....thats interesting..to say the least!

After the initial shock over the choice of colors and the nerve of the Bride to ask that...I would say....
do it....and attend the wedding with a light spirit and a sense of humor!!!

I think it's funny. Unless she's retentive she probably doesn't expect everyone to go out and purchase a special outfit in those colors. Wear what you want to wear. If you need an excuse just say you didn't have anything in yellow or green.

There's a difference between being a great fan and completely losing touch with reality. There's a lot of the latter in Wisconsin !

After reading the OP, isn't it a little easier to understand why Randy Moss "fake-mooned" the fans at lambeau field last season when the Vikings were crushing the packers in the play-offs?!?!?

I do think it's somewhat strange, but I don't think it's rude. OP said it was a request, not an order. Not quite the same thing, but many couples request that their wedding guests wear black tie attire. I don't think that's rude, either. In both cases, the couples are trying to create a certain theme or ambience for their wedding.

Whether or not I decided to wear Packers colors, I'd be looking forward to this wedding. It sounds like it will be unique and definitely interesting!

Well, I have to admit this beats my "crazy bride" story hands down! We went to a wedding over the summer where the recessional was "Fly Eagles Fly" : I thought that was pretty bad (there were other weird things too, but that was the "worst") but asking guests to wear certain colors?!?!?!

I went to a wedding of a HUGE Alabama fan. Not only was everything crimson, the recessional was the Alabama fight song. I don't think my eyes could have rolled any harder.

I don't think it is rude of her to ask you to wear Green and Yellow, but I do think she should have given more than two weeks notice.

I would take your Bear's Jersey. It is is obviously going to be a very casual wedding. Have fun!

That's just what I was thinking. It's not that big of a deal. I doubt they are expecting anyone to go spend a fortune on "proper" wedding attire in yellow or green based on them having a packers wedding theme. lol It's the bride and groom's special day. Humour them.
