What books do all you WDW vets use? This is my 3rd WDW trip and I'm mostly interested in a book that will help me learn any other WDW secrets I don't know of already or any new things that have opened up since my last trip (which was 2009).

Thanks in advance!

Dcanoli used to email summaries of the finds. I'm not sure what her status Is now.

One book "The Hidden Magic of Walt Didney World" probably falls into the category you have described.

THe Complete Guide to Walt Disney World identifies a lot of smaller things in the parks. It identies some of the fun things in Haunted Manasion and lays out the ride ausio sequence for Splash Mountain.

Disney has a series from the Imagineering group om each of the parks. Their goal is to help us understand how and why parks come together. My favorite was the Magical Kingdom book.

I recommend Birnbaums Book... I would assume that most Disney vet's do not need a book anymore. I have not used a book in years. Good luck on your trip...
:dance3:

Birnbaums is the best bet for newbies. Can't remember the last time I bought one though:cutie:...If were to buy one now of course I would buy it from Barnes and Noble through the MyPoints website (10 points per dollar), then cash the points for my Disney trip....

There are two WDW books I live by:

Birnbaum for WDW
The Hidden Magic of Walt Disney World

I love the Hidden Magic book, it talks more about the details of the parks (such as an AK building with Jarodi on it, which is for Joe Rhode, who did a TON of work at Animal Kingdom).

I actually took post-its and marked spots in the Hidden Magic book that I wanted to experience for myself. I read it many times before our trip, it's a great book!

I third the Hidden Magic of Disney World! It has lots of good stuff in there, even if I'm not a big fan of the format of the book.

Also the Vault of Walt is pretty good, even though there is a lot of uninteresting stuff in there, there is some good nuggest! Especially about the Cinderella's Carosal chapter.
