another BLT question

We were there last week and we had a lake view ded 2bdrm. I requested as high a floor as possible as my only request. We were on the 11th floor room 8112 and the view was incredible!!!!!!! We got so lucky! We had a perfect theme park view if we looked slightly left and lake view slightly right. It was really amazing to be able to see the castle with the Christmas lights on at night from our villa!! Really, truly a magical experience!!

oh no!!! I do not want to hear this. I borrowed points to do this and it is so worth it for the MK view but will be really disappointed if it doesn't pan out. :scared1:

We had a Studio MK view last year and it was great, so don't be worried. We just asked for a room as high as possible and when we checked in they even moved us up one floor.

at blt you really need to be 8th floor and above.
the 6th floor is still under the monrail.
think the 7th floor is the monrail.
you need to be above the monrail to see the MK.

now there are those people (me included) that love the monrail and would not mind seeing it with the MK in the background.

others want to see the MK.

Just got back from BLT last week with a dedicated 2 bedroom on the 6th floor with a PERFECT view of the MK, not under the monorail and the monorail did not block our view at all.

Can anyone confirm or deny if the beds specifically the king bed are hard ? This has been reported in some other post I have read.

I thought the bed was great. Firm, but soft and comfortable.

I agree. I thought the king and queen beds were quite comfortable. But I prefer a mattress with a bit of softness with a firm base.

We were there from 11/2-11/6. Chinese water torture was still in effect. And, for me, the bed was hard and the pillows way too soft, nearly non-existant. But that said, we had a great time and we loved it. We had a 2 bedroom lock-off on the 8th floor, lagoon view. We could also see the castle.

The monorail is about level with the 6th floor and the bridge is on the 5th floor. I would def not want to be on the 5th floor... too many loud people passing by at all hours coming from the bridge into BLT.

Last week (Nov 14- Nov 19), we had a Ded 2 bedrm MK veiw on the 8th floor #7830, next to the elevators and the bridge and the loading area. We were worried about noise but heard nothing but birds. We loved our room. We slept well in the king bed and I layed in the Queens with the kids and found them comfy. My DH even napped in the chair bed with DS and slept well. We did not have any dripping from the rain shower and even used it to try something different. My kids did not like their showers, said they hurt! I kept meaning to see if I could adjust the pressure, but just let them start using ours. Our veiw was nice, straight front was GF but had no problem seeing MK and watching wishes. BTW, the MVMCP fireworks were so amazing, they lit up the whole sky!! We got to see them twice! The first night of the party when it got to be 8pm and no fireworks I thought they didn't do them for the party, but then at 10pm WOW!! My DS also loved watching the Monorail go by. We would not mind having this room again because of the short walk to get anywhere. My only thought now is maybe only doing the 1 Bdrm to save points. This seemed huge to me, much larger than the BWV 2 bdrm that we have got before, and with the extra bathroom I think we would be comfortable. We are going back Jan 2012 with a big grand gathering of 22 pp so far, and are going to be getting mutiple kinds of rooms, with 3 of us being DVC members and 2 of us have BLT as home. Points could get tight with trying to get so many rooms. Has anyone stayed in the 3 bdrm yet? Are they worth the points?
