An update... for anyone in a similar situation...
Much to my surprise and excitement, my Poly waitlist came through last night! Based on my booking approval, the system borrowed 22 points from next year. I called MS today and they helped me sort this through! Since I really wanted to buy OTU points, the CM found me an 18 point reservation (which I paid for), immediately cancelled it, then reallocated those 18 OTU points to an existing reservation (comprised of regular points). So I kept my BWV reservation and now have 18 points that can be banked for my 2018 use year. AND... I waitlisted for the Poly that last night. If it comes through, I don't have to move that last night and still have 10 points to use for 2018. If it doesn't come through, I'll bank all 18 points so I'm almost "whole" next year. Just cost me an extra $270! But I am thrilled to have my stay at the Poly, and am hopeful that last waitlist will come through. (We are 3 for 3 so far with waitlists this trip!)
