Another banked points question.

We have 150 2021 points at OKW with a December use year.
We’re not going this year so I banked the 150 points.
In 2022 we are going to HH. We have 100 points there with a December use year also.
We are thinking of going to the parks spring of 2023. I know that sounds so far off.
I probably already know the answer but the 150 points from 2021 will expire November 30th of 2022 correct?
Even if I make reservations for 2023 in 2022 we won’t be able to use them right?

If you have a December UY, those 150 points that you banked were 2020 points. They will now expire November 30, 2022.

Your 2021 allotment of points will also expire on that date unless you bank them into 2022 at some point after December 1, 2021.

A reservation in the spring of 2023 will use points that are in your December 2022 UY. That means 2021 points that were banked into 2022, your annual allotment of 2022 points and and points that you need to borrow from your 2023 UY.

December UYs are difficult to wrap your head around. I still get confused occasionally. It helps to think of your December UY as being a "year behind" - IOW if I want to book anything prior to December in a calendar year, it will use my points from what looks like they came from the previous calendar year. A March 2023 reservation would use points from my December 2022 UY but a December 2023 reservation would use 2023 UY points.

Yes. If you look at your dashboard on the DVC website, it should show 0 points under 2020 and 300 points under 2021 (150 banked + 150 from your 2021 allotment). The banked points must be used for a stay that ends no later than the night of 11/30/2022.
