I used mat board for my front & back covers and cardstock for the pages. I thought I would got the binding done today but NO. I was told the mat board is too thick. Staples won't do it. Where else should I try? I also called Office Max and they don't do it either. Please help.

Try FedEx Kinkos or whatever they call themselves now...They might do it...if not you may have to change your covers to Cardstock and laminate them. That's what I use and Staples always binds mine...

Your other option is if there is a scrapbook store in your area or you have any scrapbook savvy friends find out if the have a Zutter Bind it All machine...they are super Cheap on Ebay and some even have free shipping.

We got ours for $39.00 and that included shipping. If you do this kind of thing often it might be a good option. 2 0r 3 books at staples and it would be paid for plus its your to use anytime...Just a thought!

I love the idea of making your own book...I never thought of that!

Know anyone with a crop-o-dile? You could use that to make the holes and you can buy do-it-yourself squeeze shut binding in craft stores. Good luck!

I was at Office Depot today asking about what they would charge to color print on my card stock. (too much!) They said they would bind it for about $3.50 and clear cover/back sheet would be an extra .59 each.

You could make your own cover, then use the clear cover to protect it.

How did you make your pages?
