As if there are not enough....

1. My parents have an AP and live in FL (lucky them). They would most likely stay at FW while we would like the Poly. I remember reading that an AP holder can make multple reservations and the change the names on the reservation afterwards. Is this correct?

2. If number 1 is correct, if the AP holder maked multiple reservations do they have to be for the same resort? I know they will have to be present when we check in.

3. Does the CC used have to be at a the name/billing address of the AP holder?

4. Are the AP codes typically released more than 60 days in advance? I would probably book initially with AAA and then wait to see if any AP rates come out.

5. If worse comes to worse and the discounts pays for it I would probably end up getting at least one AP for the trip as long as the rates are released early enough.

There are so many different answers to that, your best bet is to call Disney directly & ask them. I know I have booked 2 rooms at the same resort. The deposit was given for both rooms in my name & my cc. I verified that my friends would be able to check in with out me. I was told as long as their name was on the ressie, they could check in without me there, however, in order for them to keep the AP rate, I would have to arrive at the front desk before the end of the night & present my AP or their room rate would go to rack rate. When they checked in, they paid the balance on their cc. You will get different answers to this question from different people. Some posters here say they never had to show their AP upon check in. I personally wouldn't take the chance of not having one or not having someone show up with one.
