Sorry, this might have been answered already. If I buy an annual pass now and activate it, I know its good for 1 year, however, I would like to renew it next year in October, but the next trip after I renew won't be until Jan 2017. Can I hold onto the pass renewal voucher Until Jan 2017 before I activate it?

Regardless of when you renew a pass, the expiration date remains the same.

Correct.
Which is why this transaction is called a "renewal."

Otherwise, it would be a purchase of a new AP.

Once you activate your pass, that is your date for expire/renewing. The only way to change that date (from my understanding) is to let the renewal period lapse, but then you would need to purchase a whole new AP & start again (not at the renewal rate). There is no renewal voucher to activate. It just continues on from whatever your expiration date was.

For example, my date is Nov 1st. I renewed last year end of November cause I didn't visit the park during the month, but it still goes back to Nov 1st. This year I renewed Oct 8th so now I am good until Nov 1st 2016.
