Another American Idol concert!

We went to the AI concert in Hershey on Tuesday. It was a very good show! They all seemed to be very upbeat and lots of interaction with each other, especially since they are almost done!! Chris said he is working on his album and should be back touring next year...can't wait for that! I just can't get used to having so many kids at the concerts! haha And NO ONE stands up for very long!!! At our Jovi shows no one sits down the whole entire 3 hours!!! But it was an awesome show Chris and Ace really rocked! Here's a link if you would like to see a few of my pictures. We were the 1st section on the left side of the stage in the 12th row so my pics are pretty good!

I was at the July AI concert in Hershey. Right afterward, I came here to post asking something like why don't people stand up and get into concerts (something like that.) And the gist of the response was that I was rude for standing and dancing . But see, a fellow Jovi fan knows where I'm coming from!

The only upside to being the only stander in my section was that I got a laugh and wave from Taylor !

I, too, am anxious to see Chris on his own tour. (As well as the silver dude) I know they all are anxious to get out and do their own things now and I can't wait to see & hear the results.

Another thing....I wonder what it is about Hershey that made them stop there twice? Who/what determines those things? It seems odd that, of all places, the end up there two times on the same tour. They also did 2 dates in Philly and made a stop in my town of Reading, PA. Are we Pennsylvanians AI fans or what? (I know OP is from WV, but just a random thought.)

Hahaha!! I can not stand to sit at a concert!!!! We're there to have fun and dance and jump around and really get into the music!! I'm sure the folks behind us at Hershey were upset...oh well!! Jovi concerts are the best!!! I hope Chris can stick to his guns and record that awesome rock that he is so good at....they watered down Bo last year and I really didn't like his album. With Chris being such a rocker, I am praying for a kick-butt all-out rock and roll fest!!!!

And i don't know why they came back to Hershey, they just kind of mentioned that they wanted to close the tour back there because of the great fans (and chocolate!)

I am certain Chris will "stick to his guns" (and I love the way BJ has weaseled itself into your vocabulary ) I remember during the show that he was described by Simon, I think, as the one who was never willing to compromise. That was true and, in fact, I believe that's what led to his being voted off. That sounds terrible, but in retrospect I firmly believe it's a good thing. See, I think that for all the people who were crazy about his hard rockin, there were that many more who were not. Simon said that too, that AI does not have a heavy rock type audience. Chris knew that some of the stuff he did couldn't appeal to the masses, but he did it anyway. I love Taylor big time, but he did use AI to sell himself to the masses and totally compromised as necessary (although I know those days are gone). But Chris didn't compromise then, when he probably needed to, and I'm sure he won't start now. It's all good.

I couldnt understand the not standing at our concert too we were on the floor 11th row, Nobody on the entire left side stood and only 15 people on our side stood but even then it was up down up down, I was lucky too have an excuse to stand because as soon as my view was blocked I was up, I didnt feel good but I still wanted to stand and have fun.

I got a little tired of never knowing when we were sitting back down LOL

News flash from the Daughtry Gang website....Chris' album is set to be released on NOVEMBER 21!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!! Here is a quote from his producer regarding the album:

Howard Benson, Chris' producer, said in an EW article that just came out this week that fans will probably be surprised by the artist's sensitive side on a new track he penned. Benson said that Chris played it and they all had tears in their eyes. He said the rest of the album is upbeat, including a possible song with Rob Thomas.


Guess I'll be at FYE on Nov 21 !!!!!!!!

I went to Michael Buble's concert in Hershey this summer and I stood almost the entire time I think the not-standing has a lot to do with a lot of the crowd being so young.
