Another accident at WDW

oh my! so weird that there have been 2 "transportation" accidents so close to each other. I don't recall hearing about accidents like this before. I hope everyone is ok.

I'm not surprised. It was bound to happen eventually ..

Plus, some of those drivers drive so fast it scares me..and some of them whoosh past stops signs! :scared: ( at least at the resorts, not all just some I have had)

I'm not surprised either. The way they pack those buses is not right. Kids shoved in by the side doors, old people hanging on for dear life. Can you even imagine being a driver? All the noise and people, how could you concentrate on the road at all times?

My DH was just telling me about this. The two transportation accidents and the bus load of people rushed from POP to the Celebration hospital with possible swine flu...within like 7 days. Not the happiest place on earth this week. :sad2:

Yeah, and my mom is there!

I've heard of bus wrecks before. Sometimes they drive too fast and too wild. Some of the drivers are just not god bus drivers. I hope all 12 are OK and not hurt badly.

I know.. it just doesn't seem safe to be standing.

We've had some close calls (or what seemed like it to us) and DH and I would look at each other as if to say "whoa.."

Maybe it's because I brave the streets of Manhattan every day - but I always thought those buses drove like molasses! I've had totally the opposite opinon of others - I found it crazy slow!

In the 23 years I've been going to WDW most of the bus drivers have been excellent. There have been a few that drove faster than they should have and, perhaps, took a few corners less smoothly than they should have. There was also one driver, an older gentleman, who smoked the whole trip. Those are exceptions, though. late at night you might even run across a driver who is a bit cranky, but if you've spent any significant amount of time riding those buses you might understand the circumstances.
